Surgical Options Hair Transplants-Micro grafting and Mini grafting.

Hair Transplantation involves removing a strip of permanent hair-bearing skin from the back or sides of the scalp (donor area) by using various techniques. The strip is usually dissected into micro grafts and mini grafts each.
The creation of very small micro grafts (Follicular units) has allowed very natural, feathered hairlines to be grafted, and avoids an abrupt "pluggy look" that was typical many years ago. A mini graft can be used behind the hairline for added density. Depending on the degree of balding for the frontal area and similarly for the crown area , 2-4 procedures involving several hundred or perhaps 1,500 or more grafts may be required to achieve the desired density.
Nowadays, the technique used in hair clinic is mega session follicular unit grafts which prepared under binocular stereoscopic dissecting microscope in order to minimized hair follicle transection and give natural result.
Within 24 hours, small crusts will from on each grafts which are shed in approximately 7-10 days. The grafted hair will often start to grow by 12-20 weeks, after the procedure and will continue to grow for a lifetime.

Length of procedure :
3 - 8 hours and are performed using local or twilight anesthesia on an out-patient basis. Patients are often awake but feel relaxed as they are given a mild sedative drug. There is usually little or no pain during the surgical procedure.

After surgery :
Patients may be asked to use moist compression and to sleep in a semi-upright position for 2 - 3 days following the procedure to minimize swelling and bruising.
Can be combed over the recipient area.
There crusts will flake-off by 10 - 14 days after the surgery.
The transplanted hair seen above the scalp will initially be side, however the roots will remain dormant for 12 - 20 weeks, at which time the new hairs will begin to grow.

Patients may experience mild swelling to the forehead area for a few days following surgery and on are occasions may actually experience a black eye if the frontal scalp is transplanted.

Unwanted Hairs

If you feel that unwanted hair is a nuisance or an embarrassment. Electrolysis is the technique of permanent hair removal that is medically recommended.

During the procedure, the technician inserts only solid needle probe devices into the hair follicle and a high radio frequency wave is emitted around needle tip which destroys the hair growth tissue. When this is competently and skillfully accomplished, the regenerative ability of the hair follicle is permanently eliminated.

By using the electrolysis, the only scientifically proven method for permanent hair removal method, you will see that unwanted hair will be removed safety and permanently.
