Preparation before operation :
1. Stop taking hormone pill for 2 weeks before operation.
2. Stop smoking and taking Aspirin.
3. Eat any kind of soft diet for 2-3 days to prevent the problem of defecation after operation.
4. Should not drink and eat food for 6 hours before the operation.
The Procedure , Technique and Result
Doctor uses the "Penile Inversion Vaginoplasty", a technique which turns the penile skin "inside out" and uses it to line a vaginal cavity. The penis and testes are removed. A pure penile inversion limits the size of the vagina that can be created depends on the amount of penile skin available.
Some of the patient's penile tissue are limited because of the length of penis or the Peno - scrotal junction stays in high position, which will be limited the vaginal lining. Post-operation care
- Check up with the Doctors again within 2 weeks after the operation in the propose follow-up medication.
- The most important thing is the attempt to dilating NEO vagina. Because being too afraid of pain will make the vaginal canal stenosis and obliteration which will be very difficult to repair afterward and should be done continuously 2-6 months.
- After being discharged from the hospital, the NEO vagina should be dilated by initially using small size vaginal dilator and gradually increasing in width and length every day. Insert, pull out the dilator in NEO vagina 3-4 times a day and retain at least for half an hour every day to dilate by inserting two fingers in K-Y jelly lubricated condom.
- Attempt to keep the depth of NEO vagina by gently inserting the dilator to deepen vaginal canal and the pain will disappear later.
- You can shower with a soap to keep the wound clean.
- Use vaginal douche twice a day for 3 weeks.
- Apply the antibiotics ointment over the surgical wound, urethra and clitoris every time after showering.
- Stitch off by 10-14 days after surgery.
- Sexual intercourse should be performed 2 months after surgery.
